Nahit Menteşe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School

Nahit Menteşe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, located in Nazilli/Aydın, Türkiye, is the coordinator of the United Schools project. The school is a public vocational and technical upper-secondary institution providing education to approximately 574 students with the support of 72 teachers.

The school offers education in seven vocational departments and combines academic learning with practical, skills-based training. It actively supports students coming from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds and promotes equal opportunities in education.

Main Activities of the Organisation

The school provides vocational and technical education aimed at preparing students both for higher education and for direct integration into the labour market. Educational programmes are designed to develop:

• Digital literacy skills
• Entrepreneurship and innovation
• Social and communication skills
• Active citizenship and European awareness

The school has significant experience in inclusive education. A Support Education Class has been established for students with special educational needs (SEN), where Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are implemented. These students receive structured one-to-one academic and social support to facilitate their integration into mainstream classes.

Nahit Menteşe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School has extensive experience in national and international projects, including Erasmus+. The school has previously implemented mobility activities, job shadowing, professional training and digital education initiatives.

Role in the United Schools Project

As the coordinating institution, the school is responsible for:

   •Overall project management and financial coordination
   • Establishing and leading the Project Management Board
   • Monitoring quality assurance and implementation processes
   • Organising regular online coordination meetings
   • Hosting one virtual mobility activity
   • Editing and finalising case study videos
   • Designing and developing the e-learning platform
   • Ensuring accessibility of the platform for teachers and parents
   • Coordinating dissemination and sustainability strategies

With its experience in integrating SEN students into mainstream vocational education and developing digital and innovative teaching solutions, the school ensures the academic quality, effective coordination, sustainability and strong European dimension of the project.
