INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL MOBILITY OF OUR “UNITED SCHOOLS” PROJECT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED!

The international virtual seminar titled “Special Education Practices” was successfully held under the hosting of Nahit Menteşe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, moderated by English Teacher Fatma AKTUĞ, and presented by Dr. Ceyhun SERVİ from the Department of Special Education at Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Education.

The event, organised online on 4–5 November 2025 within the scope of the United Schools Erasmus+ project, brought together more than 60 teachers from Spojena škola Piešťany (Slovakia), Secondary Municipal School “Taki Daskalo” Bitola (North Macedonia), and our school in Türkiye.

During the seminar, Dr. Servi provided a comprehensive overview of the historical development of special education up to the present day. He shared valuable insights on inclusive education approaches, Individualised Education Programmes (IEPs), identification and assessment processes in special education, employment policies, and current strategic plans.

Participants had the opportunity to compare national practices in special education from an international perspective. Throughout the event, an interactive environment promoting intercultural exchange and professional knowledge sharing was established.

At the end of the programme, teachers emphasized the importance of special education in building an inclusive, accessible, and equitable future, developing a shared awareness on this critical topic.

We would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions, our moderator Fatma AKTUĞ, and Dr. Ceyhun SERVİ for his insightful presentation.
